5th congress

On 19. and 20.11.2019 the 5th congress "Phosphorus - a critical raw material with a future" took place in Stuttgart.

The environmental, legal and strategic classification of sewage sludge disposal safety with phosphorus recovery was discussed. In addition to the legal limits of the cooperation, the requirements and assessments of plant availability were discussed.

Carbotechnik was able to report in a lecture on the possibilities of a local or decentralised sewage sludge mono-recovery plant. In addition to the independence of the operators, local solutions also offer a considerable savings potential in CO2 emissions. Long transport routes to centralised mono-combustion plants are avoided. The local recycling concept is strengthened and responsibility for disposal is assumed. Carbotechnik also shows that the sewage sludge ash produced during incineration from the patented Carbotechnik impulse burner has a high phosphorus availability and can be used as a fertilizer in agriculture. The verification can be carried out individually at the specially operated research plant (size 1MW furnace thermal capacity). Additional expensive process steps are not necessary.
