10.35 MW of electrical energy is required for coal mining on the Taymir peninsula in Russia.

The Moscow-based customer Northern Star LLC has therefore concluded a contract with CARBOTECHNIK Energiesysteme GmbH for pre-engineering.

The proven CARBOTECHNIK burner system will be used to generate steam in four pulverised coal-fired boilers, which will then be used to generate electrical energy in three condensation turbines.

The reliable fuel supply is ensured by three CARBOTECHNIK dosing machines.

The scope of services includes detailed general arrangement drawings, the specification of technical details and the preparation of equipment lists of all plant components. The plant components are essentially

•  3 x CARBOTECHNIK dosing machines DN 1800
• 4 x flame tube boiler plants with CARBOTECHNIK burner system to produce saturated steam including economiser and feed water treatment
• 3 x condensation turbines to produce electrical energy
